The best site for a logistics location
The best site for a logistics location in Sweden is still Goteborg. The Swedish journal Intelligent Logistik made contact with R&D staff in the logistics field, logisticians, logistics companies and also made its own special investigations into the matter. Based on the views gathered from these authorities, the journal found that Goteborg was regarded the No. 1 position in Sweden for e g the location of central warehousing to cater for the Swedish and as much of other Scandinavian markets as possible.

The Journal’s model was the location of a logistics terminal for consumer goods, half of which was supposed to be imported. One of the trends noticed by the journal is that it is becoming increasingly important to be within reach of the deep-sea liner calls at Port of Göteborg. Among the top ten logistics location sites in Sweden, Port of Göteborg has special rail shuttle connections with seven of them while the remaining two lie within 150 kilometres of Göteborg.
